At Sift Science, sharing knowledge and facilitating great discussion are two of our favorite things (just behind fraud-fighting, board games, ML, and really beautiful data visualization). In that vein, we’ve been delighted to host a summer tech talk series entitled Turn Up The Bayes, where we invite awesome engineers to chat about the interesting things that they’re working on. To set the mood, we provide delicious pizza and refreshing beverages, and set aside plenty of time for discussion, questions, and more pizza.
ML Engineer Alex Paino discusses the Sift Decision Forests
As the 2nd tech talk in the series, our August 3 event enjoyed a great turnout! Sift Science ML Engineer Alex Paino shared insights into the Sift Science Decision Forests, while special guest Sean Gerrish from Google dropped knowledge on “Modeling the Evolution of Discourse with Statistical Topic Models.”
If you weren’t able to make it to the event, not to worry! You can check out Alex’s talk below. He’ll be sharing more technical insights into machine learning and decision forests in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.
As always, we welcome questions, comments, and feedback. You can always reach us on Twitter @siftscience, or chat with us at siftscience.com.
