This is part of a monthly series in which we get to know Sifties.

Madison Majerle is one of our account managers and has been with Sift Science for a year and three months.

If she could eat just one food for the rest of her life, it would be her mother’s homemade meatballs! There’s a lot of love in her mom’s Italian cooking, but especially in those meatballs.

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of?

Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, and maybe Creed. One of my favorite movie series, I can watch it all the time and never get sick of it. It’s been a family favorite growing up; my grandpa and uncle love those movies, they were both boxers from Philly.

I really love Rocky because it is about a guy that comes from basically nothing and works hard to prove he is capable of being in the ring and becoming one of the best boxers of his time. It’s a series about determination and grit, the hunger to fight and will to survive. It’s very motivating.

What are five things that make you happy?

  • Having a good conversation and being surrounded by great people and friends.
  • Watching sports and laughing, all while cooking with my family in the kitchen.
  • Dancing, whether it’s in the car, at a bar, in your apartment with friends or family, with the music blasting and dancing together. It puts me in a good mood.
  • Traveling and exploring new places.
  • Working hard at your job and having a good outcome.

What food have you never eaten but would really like to try?

I don’t know exactly what it is yet, but I do know there’s a lot of food and cuisines I haven’t yet tried and want to. I really enjoy food and trying new dishes, and this is where traveling comes in, to expose me to the things I’m not familiar with.

What songs hit you with a wave of nostalgia every time you hear them?

My Wish by Rascal Flatts. It’s my mom’s song to us kids. When I hear it, I hear my mom’s voice. It’s about having big dreams and to keep pushing for what you want, no matter how hard it gets, and to just know that she’ll always be there to support us in the journey.

In your group of friends, what role do you play?

They either call me “the cop” or “the fun mom” because I know how to have a good time, but I keep everything in line and always look out for everyone.

What’s the best vacation you ever had?

I’ve been on a lot of great vacations, so I can’t point out one specifically. The vacations I find to be the most fun are the spontaneous ones where you have a plan but don’t know how it’s all going to play out. Those tend to be the small trips, rather than the bigger, more carefully planned out ones.
