The Privacy Shield framework provides companies with a mechanism to comply with European data protection requirements when transferring data from the EU and Switzerland to the U.S. Developed by the United States Department of Commerce in conjunction with the European Commission and Swiss Administration, Shield certification makes compliance easier for our customers with operations in Europe.

The legalities of transferring data internationally is becoming increasingly complicated. By offering PS, Sift Science joins 2500 other successful companies, including Google, that are committed to easing friction with their European customers. We can now offer two mechanisms to transfer data safely from Europe to the US: Privacy Shield and Standard Contractual Clauses.
