One of the best things about working at Sift Science is helping so many different types of businesses – big and small, across every continent, in a boatload of industries – fight fraud. E-commerce customers? Got ‘em. Marketplaces and social communities? Check. On-demand travel apps? Mobile payment services? Nonprofits? They’re on board, too.

And along the way we’ve discovered that although each customer’s goal may be similar, their particular workflows – as well as the specific Sift Science features they rely on to keep fraud and abuse at bay – might be different.

That’s why we’re really excited to unveil the customizable Sift Science console, which will help your team stop fraud faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Notice anything different? Cards!

So, what’s changed with the new console? The main difference is that all of the valuable information you’re used to seeing is now organized in cards, grouped together to make the best use of the space available. Not only does this make it easier to grasp the big picture of a user at a glance, but there’s less scrolling to get to the good stuff.

Also, you can move these cards anywhere on the screen – in any arrangement you like – simply by dragging and dropping them. Spotted a card that’s not relevant to your needs? Go ahead and delete it! (Don’t worry, you can always get it back if you need to.)

Along with the customizable console, we’ve also updated how we show you important fraud signals. We’ve always highlighted signals that make someone risky, but now we’re also showcasing signals that make someone very unlikely to be risky (aka “good signals”). After all, all of this information could be relevant when you’re piecing together a user’s story. All signals are color-coded, based on risk.

You’ll now see color-coded risk signals – both the good and the bad.

Speaking of fraud signals, ever yearned for a bit more detail on what a specific signal really means? Now you can look it up in the Signals Glossary, accessible via a new Help tab on the left-hand side of the console. If you’re sending custom events, there’s even a way to add your own notes so your whole team can be on the same page about why that signal is important.

You can add notes about specific signals that your whole team can see.

All geared up to get going with the new console? Next time you log in, you should see a box asking you if you’d like to switch over. If you’re not quite ready, you can turn it on later from your Display tab. In the meantime, feel free to check out this walk-through of the new console experience:

As always, we’d love to hear what you think! Drop us a line at [email protected] with any questions, and we’ll be glad to help.
