With December fast approaching, the team behind our Fraud Fighters Forums is hard at work planning out our 2017 meetup cities and discussion themes. There are lots of exciting plans in store! Just to recap, the Fraud Fighters Forum is an effort to build connectivity among the people who are on the front lines of fighting online fraud and create a global community for fraud managers, risk analysts, and payment professionals – guided and inspired by leaders in the field.

But what exactly went down with our 2016 Forum initiative? Here’s our 2016 Fraud Fighters Forum follow-up, by the numbers:
200+ RSVPs: The most important thing that we learned was there’s a need for networking in the world of fraud managers, risk professionals, and customer service gurus.
120+ attendees: The challenge with a free event series is the RSVP-to-attendance rate tends to be a guessing game – but Fraud Fighters are a special breed that truly care about collaboration, connection, and capitalization on a good time!
12+ hours: Each Forum event was scheduled for 3 hours, although conversation tended to continue long after the official event ended.
11 leaders: Our Forum leaders are the voice and the driving force behind the Fraud Fighters Forums; from SeatGeek to Jet.com, Remitly and Cozy.co, to Wanelo, WePay, Patreon, OpenTable, and Western Union, our leaders provide so much expertise and insight to the Forum
7 topics: Fraud Fighters love to talk about best practices and share solutions. Topics ranged from measuring a fraud team to weighing machine learning versus rules-based solutions, and ran the gamut in between.
4 forums: After our launch on June 30, we had subsequent meet-ups on September 28, October 19, and November 2, competing with events like the final Presidential Debate and Game 7 of the World Series.
3 cities: In addition to 2 Forums in San Francisco, we also had events in New York City and Seattle

The data doesn’t lie: Fraud Fighters feel a connection to the Forum, and we’re really excited to continue fostering this spirit of cross-functional, cross-industry, and cross-geographical knowledge-sharing. After all, no one fights fraud in a vacuum, although it sure can feel that way some times.
