At Sift Science, we understand that trust powers the internet. Users trust businesses to deliver secure and exceptional experiences. Businesses trust their users to behave safely and honestly on their platforms. When fraudsters threaten to interrupt this flow of trust, that’s where we come in.
Sift Science helps thousands of websites and mobile apps fight online fraud and abuse. These businesses trust us with a plethora of data to fight fraud in a powerful way. Compliance with data protection standards is the expectation in our business — and why we’re now Privacy Shield-certified!
The Privacy Shield framework provides companies with a mechanism to comply with European data protection requirements when transferring data from the EU and Switzerland to the U.S. Developed by the United States Department of Commerce in conjunction with the European Commission and Swiss Administration, Shield certification makes compliance easier for our customers with operations in Europe.
“If companies in Europe are questioning whether Sift can operate or do business from a legal or compliance point of view,” says Fred Sadaghiani, CTO of Sift Science, “this can immediately alleviate any questions they may have.”
The legalities of transferring data internationally is becoming increasingly complicated. By offering PS, Sift Science joins 2500 other successful companies, including Google, that are committed to easing friction with their European customers. We can now offer two mechanisms to transfer data safely from Europe to the US: Privacy Shield and Standard Contractual Clauses.
Check out our Compliance Center, Service Privacy Notice, Website Privacy Notice, or Privacy Shield pages for more details. We’re excited to continue working to make the internet a more trustworthy place for years to come. If you have any questions, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
