Earlier this year, we launched Content Abuse Prevention and Promo Abuse Prevention, two new products designed to help customers stop additional types of fraud and abuse. Today, we’re excited to announce that rich data about Content and Promo Abuse are now available in the Sift Science console in easy-to-use cards, so you can dive deeper into user details and quickly see which pieces of content need review.
Content Abuse cards
Content Abuse Prevention is designed for marketplaces and social communities that face a constant battle against abusers who post scammy, spammy, or abusive content that compromises community integrity and diminishes brand value. Most abuse patterns tend to be from repeat offenders looking to siphon away legitimate traffic to potentially malicious third party websites or for monetary gain.
Leverage the new Sift Science Content Abuse cards to get a better understanding of the abusive behavior affecting your community. Use the consolidated single-pane view to simultaneously view contextual and user behavioral data for faster analysis – saving you valuable time.
Look at the timeline of content postings associated with each user, along with the investigative outcomes from each posting. As your investigations get deeper, you can check out further details – like user identification indicators (email, phone numbers, etc.), location data, and the monetary value associated with a posting – for a thorough analysis.
Promo Abuse cards
Promotions are a great way to attract new user traffic to your website, but they are frequently abused in unintended ways – driving down their net benefit and reducing margins. Sift Science Promo Abuse Prevention is designed to identify and prevent promotional abuse patterns without impacting the legitimate use of promotions.
A very common promo abuse tactic is promo funneling – creating fake accounts to redeem additional promotional offers. Typically, these fake accounts tend to have identifiable patterns including similar email addresses. With the new Sift Science Promo Abuse cards, you can benefit from a consolidated view of user behavior around promo usage. You can also use the Promos Sent or Promos Used cards to identify and understand patterns of abuse.
These new abuse cards are available to all Sift Science customers! It’s easy to add and delete new cards whenever you’d like, directly from the Sift Science console.
